Dr. Bonner has been a small animal veterinarian for 11 years. She has worked in England, Australia, and New Zealand. She first saw a pet with a prosthetic device while at a conference overseas in 2008. She was amazed at how they were helping our furry friends and has been interested in this area ever since.
In 2014, Dr. Booner completed additional training in the United States. She wanted to be able to offer injured patients more treatment options.
Dr. Booner is now a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). She is also a member of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV). Dr. Bonner also trained with OrthoPets in V-OP in 2014.
Orthotics and prosthetics are a new and exciting field for pets in New Zealand. It’s great to now have treatment options for pets that can’t have surgery!
