Nathan and his OrthoPets Stifle Device (Dog knee brace)
Dear OrthoPets,This two year old joy - Nathan the Rottweiler, had an operation on his leg. The same operation that larger dogs and especially this breed are prone to arthritis and tendon tears. That being said, Nathan had that operation on his right rear leg. What ensued was an infection, and other complications taking about five months out of his and his owners' lives. After intensive care and saving his life (and leg) he was operated on and the infection had to be cut away, and with that operation went all of the good of the original surgery. It also left poor Nathan with the expected slight tear of the left rear leg.Had it not been for the suggestion of OrthoPets by the head veterinary surgeon at Oregon State University, Nathan would probably be immobile and would have further tear and arthritis damage. As you can see from these photos, day one of his use of the device, he is having the time of his life. Able to play, be with other dogs, walk and have a wonderful time. I am forever indebted to the wonderful people at OrthoPets!Thank you,Nathan's Mom (Lo)
