Mac and his new OrthoPets Prosthetic Device

Mac is a 1.5 year old Labradoodle mix who was just fitted with his custom made prosthesis. Mac had gotten his limb caught under a tire and he suffered very traumatic injuries that led to the partial amputation of his hind limb. Mac works with our partner clinic in Kingston WA, Equisport medicine, where he will be continuing his rehabilitation with them over the next year as he learns to use his device properly. Though many people say that a pet does well on 3 legs, why not give them the chance to really do well back on 4! In many cases the difference in limb length can lead to other orthopedic issues and muscle imbalances due to over compensation over time.
