Dr. Mônica Veras began her career as a veterinarian after graduating from Unifenas. In 2008, she received her Masters Degree in Animal Physiotherapy from the University of Knoxville Tennessee. She also received her Masters Degree in Animal Physiotherapy from Universidade Metodista. Dr. Veras is the owner of Pet Plus with her husband, Dr. José Roberto.
Dr. Veras lectures at many major universities, consults with hundreds of veterinarians and continues to advance the new profession of veterinary orthotics and prosthetics. She is actively involved in continuing education in the animal physiotherapy field and regularly lectures and conducts workshops on Animal Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy to physiotherapists, veterinarians, veterinary nurses and dog clubs in Brazil.
