Karen Grove, LVT, CCRP has been with VRCC since we opened in 1997. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Blue Ridge Community College in 1988. She worked at a day practice for 12 years before pursuing a career in specialty medicine. While she is trained in every area of the hospital, Karen worked mainly in Internal Medicine for 15 years and assisted with medication studies. She became our Operations Manager in 2014, overseeing the training of our technician students. Karen completed the Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner program at the University of Tennessee in August 2018. In her free time, Karen enjoys working out, hiking, running, and competing in equine endurance races. She has six pets, including three cats, two dogs named Virginia and Pi, and two horses, Bailey and Ida.
